Events At The Museum: Mar. 13th – 17th

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is excited to announce our series of upcoming events at the museum for the week of March 13th – 17th, including our holiday themed “Paint And Sip: Illuminated Celtic Letters” on Saturday, March 16th, a “St. Patrick’s Day Celebration” on the 17th, and more! Our upcoming events are as follows:

– Wednesday, March 13th (10:00am – 12:00pm): Members Only Mornings: To show our appreciation for our members, the Museum is open the second Wednesday morning of every month for members to enjoy exclusive playtime at the museum. This month, members can join us on Wednesday, March 13th, 10:00am – 12:00pm!

– Friday, March 15th (5:30pm – 6:30pm): Family Trivia Night: Come to the Museum after hours to play trivia as a family! All ages are welcome. Teams of up to 6 people will play to win a special reproduction of one of the images in the Museum’s art collection! This event is free, but donations are gladly accepted.  

– Saturday, March 16th (1:00pm – 2:30pm): Paint And Sip: Illuminated Celtic Letters: Our popular and family friendly Paint & Sip series on Saturday, March 16th for a special “St. Patrick’s Day” themed class as we make of own illuminated celtic letters! This event runs from 1:00pm – 2:30pm and is $20 per parent/child duo ($5 for each additional child, $10 for each additional adult). Members get a 50% discount! Please call to reserve your spot: 518-793-2773. This program will fill up quickly!

– Sunday, March 17th (1:00pm – 2:00pm): St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: Don your kilts (yes, Irishmen wear kilts, too!), Aran wool sweaters, and everything green, it’s time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the museum, Sunday, March 17th! Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day crafts, hear a story about St. Patrick’s Day, eat Irish treats, and listen to Irish music. This program is free with general admission, though donations are gladly accepted from those who enjoy the luck of the Irish. Program runs 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

Events At The Museum: Jan. 1st -12th

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is excited to announce our continuing series of seasonally themed events at the museum for January 1st – 12th, including a “Russian Christmas Celebration”! Our upcoming events are as follows:

. Saturday, January 5th – Russian Christmas Celebration (11:00am – 12:00pm): Learn about Russian Christmas traditions at our museum Saturday, January 5th, from 11:00am – 12:00pm with special program instructor Natalia Carusone! We will do a Russian nesting doll craft, eat traditional Russian sweets, and hear a Russian holiday story! Event is free with general admission ($5, children under 3 are free).

. Wednesday, January 9th – Members Only Mornings (10:00am – 12:00pm): The museum will be hosting “Members Only Mornings” the second Wednesday of each month, 10:00am – 12:00pm, where members get exclusive time to visit and explore the museum. . Saturday, January 12th – Uttarayan Indian Kite Festival (11:00am – 12:00pm): Visit the museum on Saturday, January 12th for a truly spectacular event! Special guest instructor Neha Golwala will teach us about Uttarayan, the Indian Kite Festival! Children will hear a story about the festival, make their own kites, and eat some traditional Indian treats! Event is free with admission and runs 11:00am – 12:00pm!

**And don’t forget about “Early Explorers Play Group”, every Thursday from 10:30am – 12:30pm, which is time for caregivers and their children to visit the museum, enjoy some light snacks, and form a community of encouragement and acceptance. Cost: $2 per family.**
