International Youth Art Exchange Program - 2010 US Awards and Honors

2010 Judges:

Chloe Ketttlewell, of Saratoga Springs, NY, a part-time professor at SUNY Adirondack College graduated from Skidmore College with a studio art degree, and masters in art education from The College of St. Rose. Her paintings are carried by Frame Work in Saratoga Springs and Riverfront Studios in Schuylerville, NY.

Robert Walp, of Chestertown, NY, a bookmaker, received his MFA in the Book Arts from The University of Alabama, where he received the Raymond F. McClain Book Arts Award. Robert works from his studio in the Adirondacks under the imprint of Chester Creek Press. He has taught bookmaking in the Adirondacks, as well as in Vermont and North Carolina. His works can be found in numerous university libraries and museum collections.

2010 Awards and Honors Announced!

Now in its 24th consecutive year, the International Youth Art Exchange is a global art share and exhibition program. Every year students in many different countries draw for us, and for every piece we receive from overseas, we respond in kind by sharing with them the best that our American schools send to us. Artwork submitted from U.S. students is judged in April for awards and inclusion in the Museum’s permanent collection. Our archives now include more than 6,000 original works from 72 countries and are available for loan to schools, museum and organizations.

The 2010 theme was "Celebrating Traditions - Music and Dance".
