Volunteer at the Museum

Join our fabulous group of enthusiastic volunteers. We are always looking for additional assistance in all areas of Museum operations. Some specific volunteer opportunities include:

Special Events
Throughout the year the Museum has special events to raise awareness for the Museum or to fundraise for the Museum. Volunteers are needed for several different events, a few are listed below:
Annual Meeting and Reception
Reception at the Annual Crandall Public Library Gallery Exhibition
March is Fundraising Month
April Appreciation Dinner
ACC Summer Enrichment Program, "World Travel: All Aboard!"
International Summer Youth Theater
Balloon Festival
International Cuisine Dinner and Fundraiser
Hometown Holiday Open House

Collection Assistants
Collection assistants will work under the volunteer collections coordinator. The coordinator will train each person in all the workings of the collection department and each person will work with a partner until they feel comfortable working on a project themselves.

Mailings
Mailings are scheduled several times a year and will take from 1 hour for a small mailing to several hours for a large mailing. Volunteers can work on all mailings or be on a list to be called at their convenience.

Brochure Distribution
People are needed to distribute annual brochures to the local communities. The volunteer would quarterly check on the distribution points to see if they needed extra brochures. This may be done at the volunteer’s convenience.
