November 2018 Events!

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is proud to announce a series of upcoming events, including a special program run by renowned local writer/journalist Maury Thompson called ‘The Impact Of World War 1 On Culture In Glens Falls’ on Sunday, November 11th, 3:30PM – 5:00pm at the museum. Thompson will discuss how Glens Falls area residents embraced the culture of allied nations in a new way during World War I, even as they shunned the culture of Germany, and the 20-hour celebration of the Armistice in Glens Falls that occured a century ago. Thompson is the author of “The Biggest Kid and the Balloon Festival: The Walter Grishkot Story,” and “The Animated Feather Duster: Slow News Day Tales of the Legendary Facial Hair of Charles Evans Hughes.” His books will be on sale after the talk.
