Events At The Museum: Feb. 15th – 21st

We have a jam packed schedule of events at the museum for the week of Feb. 15th – 21st! We’ll be open special hours for Winter Break (Tuesday, Feb. 19th – Thursday, Feb. 21st) so your children can enjoy our programming, including “Hygge At The Museum” and “Day Of The Pig In The Year Of The Pig”. Our list of events are as follows:

– Friday, Feb. 15th: Little Ones Yoga

Introduce your children to Yoga at this fun program Friday, Feb. 15th! Our “Little Ones Yoga” program, led by guest teacher Neha Golwala, aims to develop proper posture, better balance, and self-awareness in this fun, child-friendly practice. This yoga workshop is best suited for children 5 years old and younger, but all ages are welcome to attend! This program is free with admission, though donations are gladly accepted. Event runs 11:00am – 11:30am.

– Friday, Feb. 15th: Family Trivia Night

Get your family in the friendly competitive spirit and join us after hours on Friday, Feb. 15th from 5:30pm – 6:30pm for “Family Trivia Night”! All ages are welcome. Teams of 6 or fewer people will play to win a special reproduction of one of the images in the Museum’s art collection! This event is free, but donations are gladly accepted.

– Saturday, Feb. 16th: Paint And Sip

Our popular family friendly Paint & Sip series returns Saturday, February 16th with a “Mexican Sun Folk Art” theme! This event runs from 1:00pm – 2:30pm and is $20 per parent/child duo ($5 for each additional child, $10 for each additional adult).

– Monday, Feb. 18th + Tuesday, Feb. 19th: Game Night At The Museum!

Visit the museum Monday, Feb. 18th and Tuesday, Feb. 19th for cultural games! Our friends at Joined By Gaming will teach us traditional children’s games from Mongolia and Papua New Guinea. This program is appropriate for children 6 yrs. and older and is free with admission, though donations are gladly accepted. Events run 11:00am – 12:00pm both days.

– Wednesday, Feb. 20th : Day Of The Pig In The Year Of The Pig

Visit the museum on Wednesday, February 20th from 11:00am – 12:00pm for this special event! We’ll learn about the Chinese Zodiac and the Year Of The Pig, and then we’ll have a special visit from two real live therapy pigs, Mr. Albert Einswine and Ms. Tammy Swinette!

This program is appropriate for children (and adults) of all ages and is free with general admission, though donations are gladly accepted.

– Thursday, Feb. 21st: Hygge At The Museum!

Hygge (pronounced: HOO-ga) is the Scandinavian concept of coziness. Visit the museum Thursday, Feb. 21st from 10:00am – 12:00pm in your pajamas, with slippers on, and bring your stuffed animals; we’re having a cozy day! We’ll hear a Scandinavian folktale, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy the winter cold in the warmth of the Museum.

This program is free with general admission, though donations are gladly accepted.

Parents’ Night Out At The Museum! – 12/21


The World Awareness Children’s Museum is proud to announce “Parents’ Night Out”, a time where parents can enjoy a night out on the town, or get some last minute shopping done as their children get set to enjoy time playing in the museum, watching a winter-themed movie, and enjoy some light snacks. Cost: Non-members – $20 per child / Members – $15 per child. Space is limited, so please call us at 518.793.2773 today to register (no children will be admitted without pre-registration). **Children must be potty trained in order to attend**.
