Our new exhibit, “Water, Water, Everywhere: Explore, Create, Investigate” is almost here!

The World Awareness Children’s Museum’s upcoming exhibition Water, Water Everywhere: Explore, Create Investigate!  will open at the museum on 89 Warren Street in Glens Falls on June 30, 2018. Water is the element most often depicted in the landscape imagery in the museum’s collection of international children’s art. These images inspired the exhibition theme and the hands on activities such as a boat table, a fish game  and an under the sea experience that will be added to the museum’s existing interactive play space.   The exhibition will explore the importance of the lakes, the rivers, and the canals in the Glens Falls Region and will consider the use and importance of clean, accessible water to communities around the world. The museum will be closed June 18th – June 29th for the exhibits installation.

The museum received a Community Arts Grant for 2018 for Water, Water, Everywhere from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by LARAC.  Support for an interactive water feature is pending from the Glens Falls Local Development Corporation’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant.
